Young Champion of the Month: Isobel

Resilience, Courage, Determination: This month, we’re celebrating a player who embodies all three.

Isobel, centre back for Corfe Mullen U13 Girls Whites, has quietly become a standout figure in her team — not just for her defensive strength, but for the way she lifts those around her.

After being released by a previous team for “not meeting their standard,” Isobel found a new team & in her mum's words 'it was the best thing ever'. Now in her second season, she’s grown into a confident, vocal team member — offering encouragement and direction from the heart of defence.

Her impact hasn’t gone unnoticed. Last season, she was awarded Clubman of the Year. This season, her team is unbeaten in five games, they are through to the quarter finals of the league cup, and just last week she received Manager’s Player of the Match - the difference having a manager who believes in you can make such a difference to a young girls game as all parents know. She’s even represented her school for the year above — a testament to her dedication and growth.

Isobel’s journey reminds us what football is really about:
